Clash Pandemic: Forest Hell — Privacy Policy
Clash Pandemic: Forest Hell ("the game") is made by Bursch Productions ("we"). This policy says what the game sends to us, why, how long we keep it, and how to delete it.
What we collect
Your Steam identity. When you play online, the game proves who you are with a Steam ticket. We keep your SteamID64 and your Steam display name. We never see your Steam password or payment details; purchases are handled by Steam.
Leaderboard data (always, when you play on Steam). When a run is scored, we store the run's result (score, difficulty, map seed, waves, length, the survivors played, the players in the party), your run card (the stats you see on the end screen) and the host's replay of the run so other players can watch it. Replays are kept for your last 10 scored runs, and for runs that sit in a board's top 10 while they stay there (daily boards: 7 days after that day). Older replays are deleted automatically.
Live games (while you play). While you host a lobby or play a run, the game reports once a minute that a game is live: the host's SteamID, the host's and players' display names, difficulty, wave and run time. We use this so the developer can see what is being played and, on occasion, visit a live game in-game. The entry disappears within two minutes of the game ending and is never kept longer than one hour.
Gameplay data (only if you say yes). On first launch the game asks whether it may send gameplay data — which upgrades you pick, how long runs last, what kills you, performance numbers. We use it only to balance and improve the game. You can change your answer at any time in Settings (Telemetry). If you say no, nothing in this category is sent.
Anti-cheat reports. If the game detects tampering (modified code, speed hacks, impossible numbers), it sends a report with your SteamID, the run's id and the detection details, whatever your gameplay-data answer is. We use these only to remove cheaters from the leaderboards.
Discord (optional). If you link Discord inside the game, Discord shows your friends what you are playing and lets them join you. Discord's own privacy policy applies to that; the game never requires a Discord account.
What we do not collect. Chat text, voice, your IP address, hardware serial numbers, or anything you type other than your display name. Settings such as graphics and key bindings stay on your PC (and in your own Steam Cloud).
Who handles the data
Steam (Valve) for login, achievements, leaderboard ranks and purchases; Unity Relay / Lobby for connecting players to each other; Cloudflare for our own servers and file storage (replays and gameplay data); Discord if you link it. We do not sell data and do not use advertising networks.
Your choices
- See your data: Settings → SEE MY DATA shows a summary and saves the full file to your Documents folder.
- Delete your gameplay data: Settings → DELETE MY DATA. It is removed at once and the deletion completes within 30 days (our database keeps a 30-day restore window).
- Delete your leaderboard data (scores, run cards, replays): email us at the address below with your SteamID and we will remove it within 30 days.
- Stop gameplay data: Settings → Telemetry → off.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the game will show the consent question again.
